a complete college education and this would cost probably thrible the money he has of ours. But in the first case that which I quoted of his I coincide exactly with him as far as Mary is concerned. I think that his plan is a good and a matured one I have thought of it myself before. Having Mary receive the best of an education and that with her mother with her or in other words being at home, where Mother is there is home, not moving the college to our home but moving our home to the college. As for me I think that could support myself at college alone. But I think that such a plan would worry John very much or I should have proposed it before. But it would be much easyer to gain the victory in the way John has proposed. Mary would have a mother's care and have advantages that few of her acquaintances will have. And I think that Mary's orriginal mind should be cultivated. I am very proud of her. I did not mean to cheat you out of house & home in the proposal we should try and have it almost as interesting for you there as where you are you would form new acquaintences and maybe we would not have to sell the lot at home, and when our education was over we could go back again to Conneaut. James.
