New Wilmington Oct. Halloween [1868?] Dear Mary If your letter had not come to hand just as it did this letter would have been written to mother instead of you. And under the circumstances you will permit me to send a letter to mother with yours. I was glad to hear from you mamie but you infermation was not extensive enough to meet my wishes in the school line. When you write again I wish you to inform me in regard to the internal state of Conneaut Academy. What time the Winter Term commenced? Is the school being conducted on a propper plan this term. What kind of order is kept?
