I wrote to Mary a few days ago (a week I think) and told her I should not be here to receive letters written after the first week in October, and to retain all letters received for me at Conneaut after October 1" also to stop the Reporter at the same time. I cannot tell exactly when I will leave here, but I think sometime in October probably toward the last of the month. I do not expect to come directly home, but will undoubtedly get home before Christmas. I will write you frequently enough to let you know of my whereabouts and movements. I cannot yet tell whether I will see any of our friends on my return or not. I want especially to see Aunt Eliza and think I will if I come through Saint Paul. I am going to Moulton, Appanoose Co. Iowa, to prospect, with a view of locating there; from what I can learn about the town and surroundings and the circumstances influencing its growth it is a very favorable prospect.
