DeWitt Dec. 10th 1861 My dear child Perhaps you were disappointed in not getting a letter last week but I thought perhaps grandma would get tired of reading and answering my letters, and I have but little that is new to write. I love to hear form my little girl, I think sometimes that I cannot wait till Spring to see you. Anna wishes every day that you would come home, and often takes good cry about it.
