Camphire Julip Take of camphire one Drachm, double refin'd Sugar, quarter of an Ounce, boiling Water one pint, grind the camphire first, with a little rectified spirits of Wine untill it becomes soft, then grind it with the Sugar, till they are perfectly mixed, then add the boiling Water a little at a time, and let it cool in a close Vessel. NB good for palpitation of the Heart, Ague, and all nervous complaints. White Soup Take a kunckle of Veal weighing six or eight pounds, put to it eight pints of Water, skim it well before and after it boils, then put to it Mace, White Pepper, one Onion, some Lemon peel, and let it continue boiling till one half is wasted, strain the liquor into a pan - It should be boil'd the Day before you want it, as when cold, the Fat shoul'd be taken off and the sediment left - thicken with Flour and butter, the yolks of Eggs boil'd and beaten and half a pound of Almonds blanch'd, and beaten, Just before you send if to Table, add half a pint sweet cream and a little salt.
