To Bronze Plaster of Paris figures Break in small pieces a threepenny stick of black sealing wax & put it into about a wine glass full of spirit of wine Let it stand for 12 hours then it must be stirred with a [stick?] & the mixture must be washed over the figure with a camels hair brush as paint would be used The mixture shd be about the consistence of very thick cream one coat is sufficient if it is too thick it would not be smooth therefore more spirits of wine would be necessary & another stirring
