Taken from a Newspaper It is most earnestly requested that the following useful Receipt may be Paid by to serve on proper occasions The Method used in preparing the Pellitory of ye Wall for a Dropsy even after the operation of Tapping - Gather of the leaves and small stalks of Pellitory in the middle of ye day when the Sun has Exhaled the Dew there from; if you suspect any remaining wash it in water, then pick it clean from grit or any thing that may happen to mix with it in gathering - Bruise it in a stone mortar and squeeze the juice through a coarse Cloth To a pint of Liquor put a Quarter of a Pound of brown Sugar, and boil it slowly in a Sauce pan and strain it through a jelly
