Soft Molasses Cookies. 2/3 of a cup of butter 1/2 cup of sugar 1 egg 1 cup of molasses 1 teaspoon of soda dissolved 1 cup of sour milk or cream (use less butter if cream is used) 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon 1/2 " ground ginger Flour to make a dough that may be dropped on to a baking pan by spoonfuls. Bake in a medium quick oven. (salt) (Salad Dressing) 1 cup of vinegar 1 tablespon sugar a little salt and butter Let this boil. Then mix 2 tablespoons flour 1 teaspoon of mustard 1/4 cup of cream or milk and 1 well beaten egg. Pour into boiling vinegar.
