Soda box recipe Quick Gingerbread Measure 2 1/4 cups sifted flour Add 1 1 /2 teaspoons soda 1 teaspoon salt 2 " ginger and sift again. Combine 1 cup molasses 1 cup sour milk Add to flour mixture stirring only until smooth. Add 1/4 cup melted shortening Beat well Bake in greased shallow pan in moderate oven (350 degrees) 30 minutes-Serve hot Tested recipe
