Milk Bread 1 lb of flour 1/4 oz of German Yeast - 1 egg - 2 oz of butter a little salt and 1/2 pint of warm milk - mix the butter in the flour & mix the yeast with the milk & beat the egg in it - Then mix all with the flour - let it stand in a warm place for two hours - a little sugar & a few carraway seeds makes this a nice plain cake. This is very moist & must be baked in a tin.
