Plum Cake 1 lb Flour. 1 lb Sugar (dark brown) 3/4 lb Butter. 10 Eggs. 2 lbs seeded Raisins 2 lb currants 1 lb Citron 1 teaspoonful of salearatus dissolved in a very little milk. 1 coffee cup Molasses. one of strong Coffee two tablespoonsful cinnamon. two of allspice two of cloves (or until you can [decidedly?]taste it:) 1 nutmeg. salt. to be well beaten before the fruit is put in Brandy & Wine each a wine glass. mace. almonds. use water & Flour. [brown?] in a pan for extra occasions Mrs Wm Murray.
