To make Sherry Cobblers - Put into a tumbler about one wine-glass of water well sweetened - also three or four small pieces of lemon rhind (be careful not to have any of the juice) - one wine glass of sherry wine - then fill up the tumbler with ice broken to about the size walnuts. This done take another tumbler and throw the mixture from one tumbler to the other about a dozen times - (the object of this is to mix it well, to extract the oil from the lemon rhind & to cool it) - Then drink it, (underlined) taking the precation to be properly secured so as not to grow frantic with delight.
