Sponge Cake 3 eggs, 1 1/2 cups of sugar 1/2 cup of cold water 2 cups of flour 1 teaspooful Saleratus 2 " Cream of tartar. Cream for Pies 1 pint Sweet milk 1 cup of Sugar 1/2 cup of flour 2 eggs Beat Sugar, Eggs and flour together, then turn these into boiling milk with one teaspoonful of salt, cook twenty minutes; flavor to taste.
