Dressing 3/4 loaf dry bread Pepper, sage to taste. Salt, 1 egg for small chicken 3/4 loaf dry bread pepper & salt 1 1/2 tablespoon melted butter. Sage to taste Potatoe Salad Fry little bacon 1/2 cup vinegar 1/2 cup water 1 spoon cornstarch Pepper & salt Sugar Cucumber Salad. 1 doz. cucumbers & two small onions. Slice together & sprinkle with salt. 1 pt. vinegar 1 cup sugar 1/2 tesp. celery seed 1/2 tesp. ginger 1/2 tesp. white mustard seed 1/2 tesp. black pepper 1/2 tesp. cinnamon 1/2 tesp. salt Let stand one hr. Holland Lettuce Salad. Potatoes, lettuce, hard boiled eggs, bacon, vinegar, salt & a dash of sugar. Mrs. O. J Nelson. Fruit Salad Cut fine pineapple chopped nuts, celery & add hard grapes or green ones. take seed out & cut in half add chopped dates & serve with a boiled dressing
