9. Cookies Brownies 1/2 c. shortening (spry) 7/8 c. sugar 2 eggs 2 squares chocolate 1/2 c. cake flour 1 t. vanilla 1/2 c. broken walnut meats. Cream shortening and sugar, add slightly beaten eggs, then melted chocolate, flour, vanilla and nuts. Bake in shallow pan 30 min. 350. Makes 30 squares.
