is the best. Pour the custard after it is cold over the cakes; and put the whites on the custard. Serve it out on saucers. An excellant English Plumb Pudding. 1 lb of Flour, 1 pt of milk, 10 eggs, 1 lb of sugar 1 lb of Suet, 1 lb of Raisins, 1 lb of currants. Mix all well together, and boil it in a bag. It will take 4 hours to boil. To be eaten with wine sauce. Cup corn cakes. One quart of sweet milk, three eggs, one cup of butter one spoonful of sugar, one spoonful of yeast; and 1 teaspoonful of saleratis. Take half the milk and make it to a stiff batter, then add the remainder of the milk, the eggs, and butter, with a little salt. Emma Hivelings. Green Corn pudding. Take twelve ears of green corn grate it, have ready a quart of rich milk, stir into it a quarter of a pound of sugar. Beat four eggs till quite light & then stir them into the milk with the grated corn, a little of each at a time. Put the mixture in a large pan, well buttered and bake it. For sauce beat together butter and white sugar, grate nutmeg over the sauce,
