Sugar Pie. Gent Benedict 1 pt of sugar. 1 pt of sour cream 2 eggs, 2 teaspoonsful of cream of tarter, 1 teaspoonful of soda Corn Fritters - 6 cups of grated corn, 4 eggs, 3 good tablespoonfuls of melted butter, one tablespoonful of cream to each cupful of corn, 2 or 3 tablespoonfuls of flour, drop one spoonful of the mixture in butter and some lard, which ought to be right hot in a frying pan, say half tablespoon of butter and lard at a time. Put in salt and [Emong?] some pepper to taste, the corn ought to be little old so that the shell stays on the cob.
