Mrs Bonebrakes way of making Iceing to Ice cream cake Iceng 1 gill of water, 2 cups of flour sugar. Boil 2 ~ minutes, Add to it the whites of 2 eggs beaten stiff stir in while hot, when cool flavor with banilla Dont allow the icing to boil to fast. E.B. Bone[grate?] Nut Cakes. 1. lb of sugar, 1 lb of nuts (made fine) 1 teaspoonful of corn starch, whites of 6 eggs, beat to a froth, mix the sugar and eggs together then add nuts, and flour drop on tins.
