Cucumber Pickles Peel and slice fresh cucumbers and put into salt water for 24 hrs. Pack into jars and pour fresh vinegar over them. Dilute nine ga 1/3. Seal air tight. Peas - Beans - Corn or any other fresh vegetables: Cut corn off cob and pack jars tight with it. Sprinkle little salt on top and screw on Covers not too tight. Put jars into large vessle as large as boiler and steam 3-4 hours. Turn off from boiler and screw Covers on air tight When cool put in a cool place. Preserve other vegetables in like manner. 7/1915
