Thursday January 14th 1875 I walked to school and back today. After I came home I helped Aunty some about the house. As soon as we had eaten supper Uncle Ira and I went down the depot as we were expecting Jennie and Verne tonight; they did not come. I got a long letter from home. Laura did not come home tonight, but stayed at Etts. Weather intensely cold. Friday January 15th 1875 I walked to school and back again today. I helped Aunty a little about the supper; immediately after supper Uncle Ira and myself went down to the depot again. The folks did not come in tonight I had a letter from Mother. After I came home I worked a little on my sacque and then took a bath and changed my clothes before I went to bed. Saturday January 16th 1875 I fussed around a little this morning and then got ready to go down town I walked down about ten oclock. I stopped in town a little while then went on down to Etts where I stayed till after dinner. I then went over to see Mrs Beecher awhile, when I had been over there about two hours Ett came over and Mrs B- and I both went back
