26 Saturday February 20th 1875. The weather real pleasant today. We girls sent some mail home this morning. In the afternoon Rob McCollister took us for a sleigh ride and in the evening we went to church. Sunday February 21st 1875. A beautiful day. In the forenoon Uncle and Jim went four miles in the country to church taking us girls with him. Coming back Uncle introduced me to a young gentleman who was over from Broadwell in a cutter and I rode home with him. In the afternoon he came to take me driving again. We were gone till nearly church time. The gentlemans name was Mr Dove. In the evening all hands went to church. Monday February 22nd 1875. This forenoon Jennie and I visited the school and as soon as we had eaten dinner, we went to the depot. We had an hour in Linclon, and I went up town and changed one pair of my gloves and bought me another pair. The train going west was three hours behind time. We had a pleasant time on the train. Uncle got on at Hartsburg. Will met us at the depot. It was raining when we got home. Will Laura and I played cassino all evening. I beat.
