42. Thursday April 1st 1875. I walked to school and back today and in the evening worked on my dress. I had a long letter from home with interesting clippings from the City papers. How I do enjoy my letters from home. I did my share of the ironing tonight when I first came home. I felt pretty tired tonight and it wasent so very early when we got ready for bed. Ira and Manford went down town to a party. Friday April 2nd 1875. I walked to school and back again today. When I got home I found a good long letter from home and The Reporter. I sewed all the evening I got a good deal done to my dress and embroidery trimmed and basted on my skirt. I felt tired and nearly sick tonight my throat hurt me so. I doctored it some before I went to bed. They have had such nice times there at home lately they have been having parties all around. The evening of the 24th they had a splendid time there at home. The folks came from town in the busses.
