61 Saturday May 22nd 1875. I got up early this morning and put the clothes out. Then worked on my tidy till noon and ironed in the afternoon. Louise Short was to see me awhile. I did a little mending after supper Ettie and Tom drove out tonight. Sunday May 23rd 1875. I went to church this morning and from there to Beechers where I spent a pleasant afternoon. Mrs B_ was writing to her Mother and I put in a line. In the evening Fred and I went to church. I saw Billy Reed. Monday May 24th 1875. Quite early this morning I went up town and did some shopping I got me a new calico wrapper and several other things. Adah Beecher and I got a picture taken together I spent the day with Ettie. In the morning when I was up town I got a letter from Mother. The folks were down from home in the afternoon. And Ettie and I took baby in his buggy and went up street. At six oclock as we were just ready to start out home. I got a letter from Hattie saying that
