111 Thursday September 30th 1875. I helped with the work this forenoon and sewed some on Otto's pants. In the afternoon Hatt and I went to town. A rainy disagreeable afternoon. I cut out a couple of pair of drawers for Otts after supper and made one pair before I went to bed. Friday October 1st 1875. We washed this evening and got all the scrubbing all done by noon. After dinner we girls got ready and went over to town in the buggy We had a real good time. I got me a new calico dress. After we got the work done up we girls invited Mr Bently and Mr Pottle down to play cards I never laughed as much over cards in one evening in my life. How I did enjoy it. Saturday October 2nd 1875. I just worked around the house this morning. Mother went to town and I got most of the dinner myself. I ironed a little in the afternoon and then we young folks went out after hickory-nuts. We had an extremely pleasant time and were successful. I had a letter from Will Reed. I did not feel well in the evening and went to bed early.
