Friday January 6- 1933 I did not feel well today. No appetite and sick to my stomach. Tishie Hedges here in the afternoon. I had letters from Elizabeth McCollister Lena Masen Birdie and sister Ida. Dr. Ned Smith stopped to see me. Rob brought medicine he ordered Hattie here a few moments The papers are full of Calvin Cooledge sudden death yesterday Saturday January 7- 1938 I feel better today. Hattie here most of the afternoon Ott here later and brought me $20.00 from Murphy that I gave to Mrs. Gay on rent. Letter from Winnie Sunday January 8- 1933 I felt able to go to [S Sr?] church with Ott this morning. I slept part of the afternoon. Hattie came after supper to stay till Rob should go the 10:45 train to meet Birdie who comes from Omaha. I wrote Lorna & Edith Emily Tom and sister Ida. Birdie came to stop here with me. We finished the floral at the church today Monday January 9- 1935 We were at home all day. Ruth Hedges called awhile letter from Mrs. Falk. We read all evening I feel better than for several days. Tuesday January 10- 1933 Birdie went up town to pay my grocery and telephone bill. Hattie here most of the afternoon and Ott to call when he left the office at 5 oclock. I lay down most of the afternoon while the girls visited I did not feel as well as I did yesterday
