Wednesday January 11- 1933 The forenoon soon passed. We fixed a dress for Birdie in the afternoon and both lay down awhile, read in the evening and I was downstairs awhile. Thursday January 12- 1933 We got ready and went to Hatties by taxi before noon to a luncheon as "The Reds" met there. Mrs. Newcomb brought us home I was very tired. Rested awhile wrote Winnie in evening letter from Mrs. Falk. Friday January 13- 1933 I did some cleaning in the forenoon. Birdie got ready to go up town. Rob brought Hattie here early in PM and took Birdie away. Later Hattie went on up. When she came back Cora came to take us a ride. I read all the evening. Saturday January 14, 1933 It was very late when we had breakfast. Birdie got ready to go home with Rob at noon. After I had some dinner I did some washing. Just as I finished Nellie [Sterns?] came. Birdie came back after supper. I read some and was down stairs awhile Sunday January 15- 1933 A wonderful day I feel well but did not try to go to church. I put a list of letters or cards sent and received in last years diary. After dinner Birdie went to ride with the Whetstones I rested awhile. Ott & Biddy were here before Birdie got back. Read in evening
