Wednesday March 8 - 1933 Wrote Hatlie and made tatting went down town soon after dinner. Mrs Lowe went with Mrs Folk to do some committee work. I stopped at the Library after supper went back to town. The Folks to meeting I spent the evening with The Pickens. Thursday March 9 - 1933 I made tatting and sewed on handkerchief in AM rested in PM but went down town before supper. Neighbors in for the evening. Letter from Lou Brown Friday March 10 - 1933 I put in forenoon ripping up blue dress Rested in afternoon till time to go down town called on Mrs. Merriman Did errands. Letters from Birdie & Mattie Still. I gave Mrs. Folk $5.00 on board. Evening at home. Saturday March 11 - 1933 The news on the Radio gave an account of a terrible earthquake in Long Beach and Los Angeles. I wrote Rob. Hattie Mattie Stills Cards to Mrs. Coopon in Piketon We went to a picture show "Cavalcade" I had letters from Louisville cousins. Cal Eggerton and [Winnie/Minnie] Monday March 13 - 1933 I sewed on my blue dress in AM We went to a picture show in the afternoon In the evening to Sellin with The Falks to their card club. No mail. Reports of terrible disaster from the earthquake, weather delightful (mistake in date)
