Thursday May 4- 1933.
I was home all day. Cold for the time of year. The Gays had a lot of relatives here for dinner after they had been to [Foreman]? Hills funeral. I slept in the afternoon. Ott here later he gave me a $100.00 from Murphy. Wrote Kate Rowe & Will [Work]? in evening.
Friday May 5- 1933
It was a [drear]? day cold & rainy. I was late getting up. Did the regular work and read paper.Dr Ned Smith here in the afternoon. I wanted to 
see him and it was too bad to go out. I read in a book and wrote to Mrs Falk in the evening.
Saturday May 6- 1933
Mary took me up town this AM to pay bills. This is Williams birthday. Hattie came down early in the PM for a visit. I read in the evening. Letter from Lena.
Sunday May 7- 1933

I went to S Sr Church with Ott. We got home  in time to escape a rain. I slept most of the afternoon. Mr. Gay [away]?. She came upstairs to sleep. This is Wills birthday and yesterday Williams

Monday May 8- 1933
I was busy about the house in AM. I rode to Andersons after dinner as she was going to West Liberty. While there she heard her Aunt [Morian]? was dead at [illegible] Hattie came to see Aunt Emma. Rob brought us home after supper I made a call at [Hedges]? while Mrs Gay went to Hills wrote [Lora]?.
