Tuesday May 9- 1933 This is Hatties birth-day she and Cora in Cedar Rapids I read some and slept in PM. a cold ugly day. Wednesday May 10- 1933 Rob took me up to Dr Whites office this forenoon for [radium] treatment for the sore on my neck. Hattie went with me. It was no ordeal. I got my dinner and wrote in afternoon. Letters to Winnie & Birdie. Cards to Lena & Ida. The Gays to Lipton to their Aunts funeral. Cold and rainy. Thursday May 11- 1933 A rainy ugly day. I did some sewing and slept in PM I went to the Library just before supper. Read in evening. Friday May 12- 1933 It rained by spells most of the day. I read the paper in AM. I lay down soon after dinner. I had such a head ache. Hattie came. They were having work done in the kitchen that she stayed till after supper. Rob & Cora left the little dog here while they had supper up town It is 47 years today since Wills [&]? her married. Saturday May 13-1938 I felt some better today. Ott here for dinner I slept awhile in the PM. The Gays to Mrs. Foreman Hills funeral in [AM]? Sunday May 14- 1933 I felt much better. Went to S Sr Church with Ott. We went to [Whitrtarer]? to dinner on [illegible] [illegible] to surprise Hattie. Late in PM went to cemetery. a nice day. I was tired and went to bed early.
