Saturday May 20- 1933 I was busy most of the forenoon. I slept awhile and sat on the porch just before supper. Mrs Hill and I rode down to the garden with Mrs Gay. Very warm Sunday May 21st- 1933 I went to S Sr Church with Ott. Dr [Hawley]? preached. About three o'clock Ott & Biddy with The [Hepburn]? boys called for me and we went up to Hatties awhile. It was raining. A lonesome evening here. I dont feel well Monday May 22- 1933 I did a little washing. Letters from Ida. [Lorna]? [illegible] They had reached [illegible] safely. A letter from Alice [Candon]? told of [Abe]? [Anntotts]? death. I had a paper from Joplin. I wrote Alice Ida Lena & Winnie before noon. Ott was here for dinner. Hattie & Cora here in afternoon They left [Horner] with me in the evening; They went to Ceder Rapids Tuesday May 23- 1933 I washed curtains and did other work in the AM. was very tired and slept a couple of hours after dinner. I then ironed the curtains and put them up. Very warm Wednesday May 24- 1933 I washed the curtains and windows in the front room. I got ready after dinner to go out to Andersons. I waited awhile for Rob to come after me. I took some old pictures out there. It was six o'clock when I got home. I read in a book after supper. A letter from The Brown girls today. Weather pleasant.
