Monday May 29- 1933 I did some washing and cleaning in forenoon. I slept part of the afternoon. I had letters from Ida Le Grand and Lois Simpson who tells me her husband has been ill two months. Wrote Mattie Stilt in evening. Tuesday May 30- 1933 I could not get the grocery on the phone. So was to go home with Ott at noon. Decoration day. I wrote Winnie in the forenoon. Hattie came over to Otts in afternoon. Mary brought me home. I felt so wretched that I lay down all evening. Williams eyes trouble again. Wednesday May 36th- 1933 I did a little ironing I feel better today. Letter from The [Peckhoms]? tells John died suddenly May 17. A letter from Winnie. I wrote [Lois]? [Simpson]? in AM. Fine day. I rested in PM and sewed some in the evening. Wrote to Jesse Henderson & Caroline Peckham. A card to Paul Fletcher. Thursday June 1st- 1933 I did not sleep well last night.
