Tuesday July 4- 1933 I did a little washing and read the paper I wrote Mrs Falk [&]? [Birdie]? in PM. Mary and Celt came for me about four oclock. The [Byringtons]? went on a picinic Rob [&]? [Cora]? went away so Hattie Celt [&]? I had supper together. Later [Bobby]? Hall and family came to watch the fire works in The Park. Mary came for Celt. I stayed all night. so ended July 4- 1933. Wednesday July 5- 1933 I came down with Rob. I stopped up town and walked home. I sewed all ofternoon on dress I am fixing After supper Mrs Gay took me over to [Hedges]? to spend the evening while she was at [illegible] Thursday July 6- 1933 I sewed some in forenoon. Hattie here most of the ofternoon. After supper The [Whitanes]? came for me Hattie [&] I ride in the [rumble]? seat. Later I sat on the porch with Mrs Gay and The [illegible] [warm]? [again]? Friday July 7- 1933 I did a little sewing in AM. Letters from [Birdie]? [&]? [Lorna]?. I wrote [Lorna]? [&] [Winnie]? in AM. Late in the PM went to the station with Mary to meet [Alberta]. [illegible] (she came later from Cedar Rapids) I was at [Julias]? a few moments to talk with her about caring for my bed-room furniture The [illegible] in Des Moines today. On the porch all evening. There were different people stopped to talk to me.
