Thursday July 27- 1933 A warm day. in the ofternoon went woth [Lorna]? to call on Mrs [Alexander]? she went with us to see Lizzie [Duncans]?. Did some errands before we came home. I wrote Hattie [&] Winnie. Evening on the porch. Friday July 25- 1933 The girls busy all day. Edith cleaning the house and [Lorna]? getting ready for [illegible] tomorrow I read and slept some in PM. rode town town later wrote Grace [McCallister]? Saturday July 29- 1933 I read awhile in AM while the girls were busy with their dinner work. There were twelve lady guests The dinner was excellent and we all enjoyed the visit After they left the girls washed the dishes and [Lorna]? and I made up of an errand. a very warm day. Sunday July 30- 1933 We went to SS [&]? church After dinner rested Late in the ofternoon the girls went to call when there had been a death. We had some supper later and sat on the porch. very warm Monday July 31st- 1933 Edith did washing. I read part of forenoon had a letter from Hattie she went home from [Birlington]? Thursday. [Lorna]? and I rested in PM and later went up town. called on [Mr]? Lizzie [Culbertsons]? Edith did ironing. I packed up most of my things after supper. We eat on the porch in the evening. [illegible] [illegible] [warmth]? [gone]?.
