Friday June 8- 1934 I was sewing all day. I made a gown from some things I had in the house. sewed on Mrs Gays machine There was a hard rain early in the evening. Saturday June 9- 1934 I gave the rooms a good cleaning in AM. Mrs Gay had Mrs Welsh for the day she did my washing too I ironed things late in afternoon. Hattie and I over at Celts while Rob [&]? Cora went to the farm. Celt gave me deposit slips for $309.28. from Murphy 169.30 Rate 9000 Iowa Public Penice 24.98 Cities Service 25.00 Sunday June 10- 1934 Afdter church went home with Celt I looked over the papers. slept some. They brought me home at 5 oclock a cool day Mr Gay home again Monday June 11- 1934 Erma came to sew for me. Got my [illegible] dress done and some other work I cleaned up the rooms. very tired Letter from Lula Bloch Grand Mathers birth-day Tuesday June 12- 1934 Hattie called early to ask me to go to Cedar Rapids as her guest. She had Cora. Mrs Whinery [&]? Helen. We had a nice lunch at Killians. Went to a good show and did not get home tll after 5- oclock. I read paper and to bed Wednesday June 13- 1934 I did some cleaning and sewing in foremorn. Celt here for lunch. I did some work after dinner to get ready for Erma again. Then slept a couple of hours William [&]? Mary brought the electric machine over for me to use letter from Mattie Still. a pleasant day.
