110 Wednesday July 20- 1932. Wrote Laura this morning. Did some telephoning A card from M.E. Culbertson tells his wife has had a serious operation. Rested in PM. William came and I went over there for the evening. Winnie here Ott called me later to tell a phone from Ida Felkner from Chicago to him said she would be here tomorrow night Thursday July 21st 1932. I sewed some in AM & wrote Laura. Late in PM rode up town with Mrs Gay, and out to her sons homes Ida Felkner came on 6.30 Bus. as we finished supper Rob came and I went away with them a little while Winne Ida & I on the porch till late bed time Hattie here in PM. Friday July 22- 1932. Winnie went up to The Jefferson with Ida where she was to get The Bus for Linclon Neb. I sewed some on a dress in AM and slept in afternoon Saturday July 23- 1932. My 81st birth-day. We did some ironing and got ready to go with Hattie & Cora to Cedar Rapids for the day It was my birth-day treat. Lunch at Killians and a picture show. a delightful day. Did some work after we got home Sunday July 24- 1932 The Byingtons taking Hattie and me with them drove to Carthage to see The Boswells. stopped for picnic lunch at Keokuk. Came back by Ft Madison & Burlington ate our suppers in The Grimes Girls yard. Birdie was there It was eleven oclock when we got home. Wonderful day Winnie to church with [Elmer] & Ida.
