Sunday December 26th 1920 It had stopped snowing this morning. The girls went to church. I put in the forenoon with my own affairs. Rob & Cora did not come home to dinner. Hattie down to Otts awhile. I read a book William gave me. Monday December 27th 1920 It was a frightful cold day. But we did the washing putting some of the clothes on the porch and the rest in the house. Rob took us to town at three oclock to attend a party given by The Shultz girls at The Pagoda Tea Shop. Dorothy is here. Cora went back with Rob. I put in most of the evening during the clothes to iron. Ott up awhile. Tuesday December 28th 1920 Hattie went to Des Moines on the morning train. Cora and I were busy with the wash all day. Did most of the ironing. I got the clothes all in. Wrote Hattie & Stella Webster. It was two years today Will and I were to have gone away. Wednesday December 29th 1920 I ironed in forenoon. Cora and I went to town with Rob. I did some errands. We stopped at Fannies. Cora busy getting ready to got to Chicago tomorrow. I wrote Mrs Foster of Des Moines and to Ann Hensler. Copied my address book. weather milder. Thursday December 30th 1920 Rob & Cora with the Chicago this morning. I finished Fannies mittens. I sewed in afternoon and evening. Was down to Otts just before supper. Letter from Lydia, I wrote to her. Weather good. Hattie home from Des Moines at 8.10.
