Sunday July 29th 1923 Hattie went to Burlington with Edwin in his car. I to church with Ott & Fannie to hear Mr Wylie preach. Rested in afternoon and spent evening at Otts porch. Hattie & Edwin got home about nine oclock. Monday July 30th 1923 I went to town with Hattie & Cora in forenoon. Hattie and I rode home with Ott. I rested in late afternoon. After supper we went to the cemetery as it was Ediths birthday. I was sick after we got home. Ott & Fannie here. Tuesday July 31st 1923 I did not get up till noon. Had letter from Laura. Hattie had Mr & Mrs Wylie and Mr & Mrs Preston Coast for supper. A pleasant visit and warm day. Wednesday August 1st 1923 Edwin and his brother started for a trip west on a car. Emma came to sew for me. She made me a dress and a waist. She worked till nine oclock. It rained all the afternoon. I helped some and was very tired. Thursday August 2nd 1923 I did some finishing and cleaned up my rooms. Hattie away to a luncheon. I wrote Mrs Pickens and Mattie Stitt. Rob took us such a nice ride after supper. a fine day. Friday August 3rd 1923 Did some washing in AM. Rested and wrote Laura in afternoon. After supper went with The Whetstones where we put Cora on the train for Minneapolis.
