Saturday September 15th 1923 It is 39 years today since Rob died. I was at work all forenoon changing things in my part of the house so I can put up a stove. Hattie went to Burlington on the afternoon train. William & Mary are here and I rode to Cedar Rapids with The Byingtons. weather still cold. Sunday September 16th 1923 I went to S S with Ott. William & Mar came to church. William went home in afternoon. I wrote to The Reed Girls and Warner McCall. It is a dreary day. I miss Will so. Monday September 17th 1923 It rained most of the day. Hattie had dinner ready for The Grimes Girls who had been in Cedar Rapids. They would not stop. The Byingtson came for dinner. I sewed some I afternoon and evening. Tuesday September 18th 1923 I walked to town to do errands. I got material for new dress and another came from Burlington. I had lunch in town and walked out to Aunt Emmas calling at Mrs Kountz on the way. Was at Ida Anderson to take a car down town. Later Hattie & I rode home with Mary. Wednesday September 19th 1923 I was busy with my won affairs in forenoon. The new stove I bought was brought over and put up soon after dinner. Hattie to town after dinner. I went down to Fannies. She stopped there and we came home together. Marys sister is there. It rained hard all evening. I wrote a long letter to Lydia.
