Tuesday October 2nd 1923 I began sewing on a house dress for myself and worked at it all day. I filled out the blank sent by Milwaukee for the loss of suit case in the evening. Wednesday October 2rd 1923 I was busy sewing all day. I got my dress nearly done. Hattie to church meeting on afternoon. I had a card from Lydia. Was down to Otts in evening. Thursday October 4th 1923 I finished my dress and cleaned up my rooms. The Girls had their P E O luncheon here today. I visited with the ladies. I rode to town at 5 oclock with The Girls when they went to a tea at Corrie Andersons. Did some errands and walked back. Friday October 5th 1923 I did some washing for myself in the AM. Emma was here sewing for Cora. I fixed my silk coat I got in the summer. We drove over to meet Rob who had been away (at 3.40). I went with Cora when she took Emma home at 8.30. Did ironing before that. Saturday October 6th 1923 Hattie & I left with Ott & Fannie at eight oclock to drive to Mt Pleasant. Had dinner there and got home at 5 oclock. The roads were fairly good. After supper we girls all three went to a picture show. Hattie and I home in Coralville taxi. I was very tired. I had a fine letter from Major Briggs at Los Angeles.
