Wednesday December 26th 1923 I was here alone part of the AM knitting. Went to town with Mrs Falk in PM. Did some errands and called at Pickens. They were away. Mrs F--- brought Miss Codington home with her for a weeks stay. I got more mail. Thursday December 27th 1923 We did not got down till late in afternoon. I did not get out of the car. I had letters from Hattie, Ott, Ella Wilcox, and Alice Condon and gift from Nellie. Fine day. Friday December 28th 1923 I worked at my knitting all forenoon. We all went to town about three oclock and brought a lady friend out. Her husband came for supper and spent the evening. Saturday December 29th 1923 Busy all AM with my own affairs. Went to Daytona with Mr & Mrs Pickens in afternoon to meet their daughter. Did some shopping. My mail was Christmas cards. Sunday December 30th 1923 We all went down in time for S.S. I to the M.E. church. Had dinner at Mrs Learys. I slept some after I came home. Had letter from Hattie. Wrote to her and Laura. Monday December 31st 1923 I finished Lauras bead bag. We went down town late in the afternoon. I did a few errands. Mrs Falk played the Victrola all the evening. So another year has gone by. Our family circle is the same as when it began. I have lived another year without Dear Will.
