Thursday August 21st 1924 We left at noon for Rock Island. Took Hattie with us. Nice trip. She came on home with us to supper. Evening on the porch. Friday August 22nd 1924 I wrote to Mary Price and William & Mary. I sent them a check to finish paying for their Auto. We rode in PM taking Hattie & Cora with us. The Whetstones were here for supper. Stayed till late bed time. Then took LeGrand to the depot. Saturday August 23rd 1924 I wrote to Mrs Falk and Ida in forenoon. Rode to town before dinner. Made some tatting. Weather pleasant. Home in evening. Sunday August 24th 1924 Wrote Joe Woolf in AM. Soon after dinner we went up to Hatties. Then rode some till time to take Ott to the train for St Anthony Idaho. Evening at home. Monday August 25th 1924 I went to town in taxi and had treatment of Dr Stryker. I got a fountain pen for myself. Rob brought me home. Hattie here in afternoon. Rob came for her and after supper The Whetstones came. We rode in car. [B..illg] Tuesday August 25th 1924 I walked to town. Called at Mrs Broadways. Did some errands. Rode home in Bus. Rested in PM and began a bead bag for Catherine Beaver. Fannie had Bert here doing work. Hattie & Cora to Cedar Rapids. I had a letter from William and card from Lizzie Lindley.
