Wednesday August 27th 1924 Cora and Hattie came to take Mrs Partridge and me to An Elder Daughters party at Mrs Koontz. Fannie busy with Bert working about the place. Letters from Mary and Mrs Falk. Evening with Fannie on the porch. Thursday August 28th 1924 I am working on bead bag. Wrote Mary & William. George Bremner came in afternoon so Fannie did not go to Mrs Partridges party. The Whetstones came for me. I got my fur from Mattie Stitt today. weather fine. Friday August 29th 1924 Fannie did not go to Hattie today to visit with The Stevens girls. I went in taxi. A warm day. Cora brought me home. We had a nice days visit. George Bremen went away in PM. The Whetstones came over after supper. We all rode in Byington car. Saturday August 30th 1924 I went to town in a taxi. Had my glasses fixed that I bent when I had a fall at Hatties yesterday. Ordered a new pair. Took a treatment. Rob brought me home. Letter from Lydia. Discouraging word about Vene. Wrote Lydia. Weather warm. Worked on bag. Mrs Swisher here in evening. Sunday August 31st 1924 I wrote Mrs McBride in AM. Rob came and took us to ride in Otts car both in the forenoon and evening. I read in afternoon and wrote to Lizzie Duncan. This ends another month of 1924.
