Wednesday September 24th 1924
I went to town in Bus and up to Hatties. I took the
things out of a kitchen cabinet I am giving Earl
Danner. Ott & Fannie came at dinner time. Aunt
Emma, Mary Price, Anna Denton and Edna Mitchell
were there. After supper rode to Tiffen with Ott &
Fannie. Will Murphy was along. Letter from Catherine Beaver.
Thursday September 25th 1924
I did my packing and went up to the old house
awhile. Ott & Fannie took me to the station and they
went to Davenport. The Whetstones with them. I had a
comfortable trip. Spent the night at Jefferson Hotel.
Friday September 26th 1924
I went down street in AM. Wrote Fannie & W. B. McCall.
After lunch went to see "Secrets." It was fine. Soon after
I got back Stella called. I got out to Delavan at the
regular time. Vene was tired so did not see her.
Saturday September 27th 1924
I took some of my things to a neighbor. But will
stay at Venes most of the time. Edith washed today.
Laura in bed all day. Letter from Hattie. Wrote to her.
Sunday September 28th 1924
I did up the kitchen work and got ready for church.
Charlie took me over and when I came out Harry
was there to bring me home. When he started home
at three oclock. I rode with him to Lizzie Duncans.
Charlie came for me. Vene about the same.
