Sunday October 5th 1924 I did up the morning work and got ready for church. Charlie took me over. Harry was there to bring me home. I fed Vene dinner to her. Harry away at three oclock. Martie in bed yet. I wrote Lizzie Lindley. It was 54 years today Jim & Vene married. Monday October 6th 1924 I ironed till 11.30. Lou Thomas came over to get I helped with the afternoon work. Sat with Vene wrote Hattie. took mail to the depot. Evening home. Tuesday October 7th 1924 I finished ironing. Had letter from Hattie and Lizzie Lindley. Wrote Mary Price. Took mail to PO. Went on down to Lizzie Duncans. It rained so Charlie came for me. I did the supper dishes. Wednesday October 8th 1924 Martie down stairs most of the day. But Lou still came over to help with the work. I with Vene quite a good deal. Wrote Warner McCall and took letter to Alton Station. Called at Mrs Kotters. Thursday October 9th 1924 Martie and I did the cooking today. Washed material for a dress. Slept awhile. Wrote Hattie in the evening. Friday October 10th 1924 It was a fine day. I did some washing and ironing for myself. I rode up town with Charlie & Martie in the evening. Vene about the same. A care
