Sunday November 23rd 1924 Wrote Warner McCall. Charlie took Laura and me to church. Soon after dinner callers came and still others till it was supper time. Edith and Lou went to church in evening. I wrote to Fannie. Monday November 24th 1924 I did some sewing for myself in the forenoon. Mrs Bennett came to be with the Girls and took charge of the work. Charlie took me up town and over to see Lizzie Duncan in the afternoon. I did some of my packing in the evening. Tuesday November 25th 1924 I was ready and Charlie took me to the Alton depot for the nine oclock train. The trip to Chicago pleasant. Warner McCall met me at the Rock Island station and we went directly out to his home. Where I met his daughter and husband and a son and his wife. It made a pleasant party at dinner. Then Warner took me to an entertainment and later to my train. Very fine. Wednesday November 26th 1924 Reached home a little late. Found Emily Bremner here. We went to The Whetstones for the afternoon and evening. We had such a delightful time. It was late when we got home. I unpacked my things. It has been about two months since I went to Delavan to be with Dear Cousin Vene till the last, so glad I went.
