Aunt Jen's Dough Cake. 2 cups of bread dough (before the 2nd kneading) 1/2 cup melted butter 1 cup sugar 1 egg-salt 1/4 teaspoon Soda dissolved in 1 teaspoon of milk nutmeg little cinnamon Let rise until small bubbles form on top Cream Sauce Melt 2 tablespoonfuls of butter without browning Add 2 tablespoons of flour & stir until smooth then add 1 pt cream or rich milk & stir until it thickens
