slacked. Then dissolve in water, & add 2 lbs sulphate [Gine?], & one of common salt, which may be be had at the druggists; & which in a few days will cause the whitewash to harden on the wood. Add enough water to bring it to the consistency of thick whitewash. To make a cream color, add 3 lbs yellow ochre. For fawn color 4 lbs umber, 7 of Indian red, 1 of lampblack, For gray or stove color 4 lbs umber, 2 lampblack. Cure for Chilblains one part Muratic acid, 6 of water, bathe every night. Hair wash for dandruff. Mix together by shaking them well for a few minutes on a bottle 1 pt alcohol, & 1 tablespoonful Castor oil Then scent with a few drops of Lavender. To stop cracks in a stove. Wet wood ashes, & common salt with water, & fill them. To cure corns. Bind on half a cranberry, & it will soon kill it. Bandoline. Take 1 oz [quince?] seeds, pour over 1/2 pt boiling water, let it stand till cold, then add 1/2 pt cologne water, & strain it keep it in bottles tightly corked.
