I did some fancy work in afternoon visited with Birdie before going across the street to an [illegible] evening. wrote too Sunday May 21st 1916 We spent the forenoon at the house. I was over in our room awhile after dinner. There was a heavy rain jist after supper. Spent the evening with folks at the house. Monday May 22nd 1916 A card from Rob tell Hattie is home. We left Burlington at 12:45 and reached home at 3:35. Rob met us with the car Hattie and Fannie were along and we went right up town to see the "Shakespeare Pageant." We then got some things for the table and came on out home. Got supper and aired the house. Tuesday May 23rd 1916 unpacked the two cases we brought out and did a little cleaning in the back part of the house. Will went to town after early dinner and brought out our other case. I got a dress out of it and went down to Robs at 3:15. Had a nice visit with the girls and They brought me home after supper and the big box I had sent home by express. It was broken but nothing lost. Wrote Lydia. Wednesday May 24th 1916 Will finished mowing the yard and I unpacked and put away things in the box. I cleaned a few windows. and got screens ready and Will helped me in the afternoon to get all of them in. I took a bath before supper. I wrote a letter to Jane and some in my diary. Evening on porch.
