Saturday June 10th 1916
I did sweeping and cleaning besides washing a few
things in forenoon. Will went to town at 2:15. Hattie
came out later and after supper I went down town with
her and listened to the band. Home at 8:30. a nice day.
I saw Nelson VanCamp of Dakota at the depot.
Sunday June 11th 1916
This date was Grandmother's birthday and what good
family parties we tried to have. I did not feel like
going to church and was busy with the dinner most of
the forenoon. Went down to the Baccalaureate Sermon late in
afternoon. Then will and I went to church in evening.
Monday June 12th 1916
Will helped me do a big washing in forenoon. I went
down to Class Day exercises in Campus. I met Nels VanCamp
and we visited awhile in Otts office. Home at 4:30.
Tuesday June 13th 1916
I ironed this morning and prepared things for supper
I rested awhile before going down at 5:15 to a play on
The Campus. I did not find The VanCamp so come home
alone at 4:30. They did not get out for supper. I am very tired.
Wednesday June 14th 1916
I dressed and went down home at 9:15 at eleven. Rob
took us all to the Armory to commencement and later all of
us but Fannie went to the Alemain Dinner. I gave LeGrand
500 for his graduation present. Rob brought us out home in
the Auto for I found. Will down town after the dinner. Will
& Emily Bremer went home tonight. Paul Helmich in the
afternoon to drive "Davy" home to Davenport.
