Thursday July 5th 1916 Will and I were invited down to Fannies for dinner all the Whetstones were there. We girls had a fine day. I rode up town with Rob in time for the 5:30 home. Friday July 7th 1916 I was at home all day. I fixed the pants to a new suit Will got Monday and slept two hours in afternoon. I feel so tired. I got on the porch all evening. Saturday July 8th 1916 I swept the house all over and did baking. Will went to town in afternoon to get more medicine from the Dr. We sat on the porch all evening. very warm. The folks went to Mrs Euclid Sanders funeral late in the afternoon. Uncle Jim is much better. Sunday July 9th 1916 I went to church alone and after getting me some lunch went out to Aunt Emmas. The folks were nearly all there and we had a good visit. Ethel had the baby christened today. Leslie went away to his work I was at Elmers awhile. Got home at 4:30. Ott & Fannie came soon after in the new car. I wrote some after supper. This is Mary Briggs and Aunt Libs birthday. Monday July 10th 1916 I washed and ironed some and went to town late in afternoon. I did more work after I came home. It was a pleasant day. Franklin Pointain spent the evening on the porch with us.
